What Setuproll Is

About

Setuproll is the directory and tier list for AI coding setups. It pulls together the stacks, prompts, tools, guides, and courses that people actually use to ship with AI, and ranks them so you can pick a strong starting point instead of wiring one up from scratch.

The goal is simple. Show what works, show what it costs, and make it easy to copy. No hype, no walls of marketing, just builds you can read and try.

What you can do here

Six places to start, depending on what you need right now.

Compare setups

Put two or more AI coding stacks side by side and see how they differ on model, tools, cost, and speed.

Read the tier list

Scan a ranked board of setups from S down to C so you can find a strong starting point in seconds.

Grab prompts

Copy battle-tested prompts for everyday coding work, from debugging to refactoring to writing tests.

Follow how-to guides

Work through step-by-step guides that walk you from an empty editor to a working setup.

Browse the tools directory

Find and compare the AI tools worth your time, each one curated and rated rather than dumped in a list.

Take a course

Learn from people who build with these tools daily, with practical lessons you can apply the same day.

Honest note

Where we are right now

Setuproll is an independent project, not a company with a sales team behind it. We are in closed beta while we get the basics right.

Every entry is curated by hand and the board is updated weekly. That keeps quality high, but it also means coverage is still growing. If you spot a gap or a number that looks off, we want to hear about it.
